How to Join PRSSA

To register for PRSSA, please download and review the membership application. The deadline for spring membership applications is to be announced.

Applications can be submitted in the Student Activities Office on the second floor of Weimer Hall.

Spring 2012 membership dues are $85 for new members, $75 for returning members and $60 for one semester membership.
Members must retain "active" status by collecting points for attending and participating in various UF PRSSA activities and events. An "active" status is achieved by collecting 30 points during each of the Spring and Fall semesters. Below is a description of activities and their point values:

  • Speaker Series/skill Seminars (5)
  • Attending Advisory Council (5)
  • Attending Mixers/Socials (5)

Alpha families is a completely new concept that UF PRSSA has instituted this year to enhance camaraderie among members. Each member will be assigned to an alpha family denoted by Greek letters (Alpha Beta, Alpha Gamma, Alpha Delta, and so on). These Alpha families will have the opportunity to interact directly with an Exectuve Board member as well as each other at various events during the year. Families will also have the opportunity to compete against each other for prizes and special incentives.
